How should I prepare this ground eyebright tea to ensure I get the most out of the herb?

Because this product consists of 100% ground dried herb rather than whole leaves or bags, the surface area exposed to water is significantly larger. This physical form allows for a more efficient release of soluble compounds, including tannins, flavonoids, and iridoid glycosides, compared to coarser cuts. To prepare the infusion, use fresh, filtered water heated to just below boiling, approximately 90-95°C. Pour about 200-250ml of hot water over one teaspoon (roughly 2-3 grams) of the ground herb. Since the particles are fine, they will settle quickly, but allowing the mixture to steep for 5-10 minutes ensures adequate extraction time. Covering the cup or teapot during steeping helps retain volatile aromatic compounds that might otherwise evaporate. After steeping, strain the liquid through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove the sediment. You may consume it plain to appreciate the natural earthy flavor, or add a small amount of honey if desired. Avoid using boiling water directly on the herb for extended periods, as excessive heat can sometimes degrade delicate flavonoids. This method is suitable for daily inclusion in your routine, particularly during periods of visual strain or long hours spent at a screen.
