How should I introduce THE DOCTOR retinol face cream if I have not used retinol before?

Use this cream as an evening product, ideally as the last step of your skincare routine after cleansing and any gentle, non-exfoliating hydration. If you are new to retinol, do not apply it every night at first: start with two or three evenings per week and watch how your skin responds. This gradual approach helps reduce the chance of dryness, tightness or visible flaking, which can happen when the skin is adjusting to vitamin A cosmetics.

Apply a small amount to dry skin and avoid using it on areas that are already irritated, scratched or damaged. If your skin is sensitive, test the cream on a small area first before applying it to the whole face. Around delicate areas such as the eye contour and corners of the nose or mouth, use extra care, because these zones often react more easily.

On mornings after use, apply sunscreen as part of your daytime routine. Retinol can make skin more sensitive to UV light, so sun protection is not optional while using this type of product. If your skin feels uncomfortable, reduce the frequency or pause until it feels normal again. This product is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
