How should I incorporate this shampoo into a routine for porous hair that puffs up in humidity?

Humidity makes porous hair swell unevenly because the raised cuticle lets moisture in chaotically. This shampoo helps by smoothing the cuticle with baobab oil's lipids and supporting strand resilience with bamboo silica, but the routine around it matters. Wash with lukewarm water — hot water opens the cuticle further. Massage the shampoo into the scalp for 30–60 seconds, then let the suds run down the lengths; no need to scrub the ends.

Follow with a conditioner that's also silicone-light or silicone-free, applied from ear-level down. Rinse with cool water to encourage cuticle closure. While hair is damp, apply a leave-in cream or light oil (a drop of baobab or argan oil) only to the mid-lengths and ends — skip the roots. Air-dry or diffuse on low heat; high heat re-opens the cuticle. On non-wash days, a light mist of water with a few drops of leave-in can refresh curls without full cleansing. Consistency matters more than any single wash: the cuticle stays smoother when it's not repeatedly stripped.
