How should I dilute Medikomed Blackberry Aromatic Oil for safe use on the skin or in a bath?

Since this is a concentrated cosmetic aromatic oil, it is not intended for direct application to the skin. To use it safely in your skincare routine, you must first blend it into a carrier medium. For body lotions, creams, or massage oils, a common ratio is 2 to 5 drops of aromatic oil per 15-20 ml of base product. If you are creating your own DIY cosmetics from unscented bases, start with the lowest amount and increase it gradually until you reach your desired scent intensity. This approach prevents the fragrance from becoming overwhelming or potentially irritating to the skin.

When preparing a bath, simply dropping the oil into the water is often ineffective because the oil will float on the surface in concentrated droplets. Instead, mix the oil with an emulsifier such as sea salt, milk, cream, or a small amount of liquid soap before adding it to the tub. This ensures the blackberry aroma disperses evenly throughout the water and the steam. For hand or foot soaks, 2-3 drops mixed into a tablespoon of salt is usually sufficient. Always perform a patch test by applying a small amount of the diluted mixture to the inside of your elbow and waiting 24 hours to ensure no sensitivity occurs. Consult a specialist before use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have chronic skin conditions.
