How should I clean and store a shungite gua sha tool?

Shungite is a mineral stone, so the tool should be treated like other natural stone beauty tools. After each massage, wipe the surface with a soft, damp cloth to remove residual oil, serum or cream. If the tool feels greasy, use a little mild soap on the cloth, then wipe again with a clean damp cloth. Do not soak the stone in water or wash it in a dishwasher; prolonged exposure to water can damage porous natural stones.

Dry the scraper with a clean towel or let it air-dry before putting it away. Moisture left on the surface can also make the next use less pleasant. For storage, keep it in the original box or a soft pouch so it does not knock against hard objects. It is a solid tool, but it can chip or crack if dropped onto tile, stone or metal. If it does get damaged and the surface becomes rough or sharp, stop using it.

Your hands should be clean when you hold the tool, and you should not share it with other people without cleaning it between uses, because it comes into direct contact with skin. If you use it around the eye area, be gentle and keep movements light, and avoid the eye itself.
