How should I brew this loose leaf green tea for the best flavour?

For this steamed green tea, heat water to around 70-80°C (158-176°F) rather than fully boiling. Using water that is too hot can make the tea taste harsh and bring out unwanted tannins. Measure approximately one teaspoon of loose leaf tea per cup, or about 2-3 grams per 200ml of water.

Steep for 1-2 minutes for a lighter, more delicate cup, or up to 3 minutes if you prefer a stronger flavour. The tea leaves will unfurl and release their vegetal notes during this time. You can reuse the same leaves for a second infusion - just extend the steeping time by 30 seconds to a minute for the second brew.

Since this is an unsweetened, unflavoured tea, you can enjoy it plain or add a small amount of honey or lemon if desired. The clean profile makes it versatile for drinking throughout the day.
