VITATEKA Vaseliinõli is best used as a finishing emollient layer rather than like a serum. Its ingredient, pharmaceutical grade mineral oil Paraffinum Liquidum, forms a light occlusive film on the surface of the skin. This does not add water to the skin by itself; instead, it helps slow down the loss of moisture that is already in the upper layers of the skin.
For everyday use, apply a small amount to clean skin and spread it thinly over areas that feel dry, rough or tight. It is especially useful after washing hands, after bathing, on elbows and knees, around cuticles, or on dry feet before bedtime. If you use a water-based moisturiser or apply it after washing, wait until the skin is still slightly damp and then seal with a thin layer of the oil.
Start with less than you think you need. Mineral oil spreads easily, and too much can leave the skin feeling greasy or transfer onto clothing or bedding. For the face, apply only to dry zones rather than all over if your skin is combination or oily. Avoid the eye area, and use externally only. Stop using it if irritation appears.
