For everyday body care, apply IDEE DERM restoring body balm after a shower or bath, when the skin is clean and still slightly damp. At this moment, the outer skin layer contains more water, and an emollient balm can help reduce the feeling of tightness by leaving a soft smoothing film on the surface. Use enough product to spread comfortably over the area without having to rub aggressively.
Start with the driest zones, such as shins, knees, elbows, arms or any area that feels rough after washing. Massage in gentle strokes until the balm is evenly distributed. If the skin still feels tight after a few minutes, you can apply a little more to that specific area rather than covering the whole body again. For daytime use, allow the product to absorb before dressing so the balm has time to settle on the skin.
Consistency is what usually makes the difference with body moisturisers. After a few weeks of regular use, dry body skin often feels more supple and less rough to the touch. The product can also be used after sun exposure to ease the sensation of tightness, but it should not be applied to sunburn with broken skin, open wounds or irritated areas that need medical attention.
Avoid contact with the eyes, and use the balm externally only. If irritation, stinging or an unusual reaction appears, stop using it and consider checking the ingredient list with a pharmacist or dermatologist.
