Start with clean, dry feet. This helps the cream stay on the target area and lets the acids work directly on the thickened skin.
Take a small amount and apply it only to the rough or callused patch. A thin, even layer is enough; you do not need a thick coating. Do not rub it into surrounding normal skin, because the keratolytic action is not necessary there and may cause irritation.
Let the cream absorb before putting on socks or shoes so it is not wiped off too quickly. Wash your hands after application unless the hands are the area you are applying it to.
This product fits into a foot-care routine in which you prepare the hard skin first and then remove it mechanically. Once the skin feels softer, use a pumice stone or foot file gently. The cream is not intended to make the skin smooth by itself; it helps loosen the material so a file can work more easily.
If you notice stinging, redness or other discomfort, stop using it and rinse the area with water. Ask a specialist before using it on very sensitive skin, on children, during pregnancy, or if you have a chronic condition affecting your skin or circulation.
