How should I apply this conditioner to get the most benefit?

Use it after shampooing, when the hair is clean. Squeeze or blot out excess water first, because a dripping-wet head dilutes the product and makes it harder to spread evenly.

  1. Start with a small amount and add more only if your hair is long or very thick. Very fine or low-porosity hair may need less than average.
  2. Apply it mainly from the mid-lengths to the ends, not to the scalp or roots.
  3. Work it through with your fingers or a wide-tooth comb, then leave it on for one to two minutes so it has time to spread along the fibre.
  4. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm or cool water. Very hot water can leave the hair shaft drier and more raised.

Frequency depends on how dry your hair is and how it responds. Some people use a conditioner after every shampoo; if the hair starts to feel coated or heavy, reduce the amount or condition every other wash. Avoid contact with the eyes, and if your scalp is reactive, introduce this product one at a time so you can separate its effect from other products.
