Use Mucodent Cold gel only on the oral mucosa as intended, and follow the instructions on the package leaflet if they are available. In general, oral gels of this type are used by placing a small amount directly onto the sensitive spot on the gum or mouth lining. Clean hands are important; you can apply the gel with a washed fingertip or another hygienic method recommended in the leaflet.
Try to apply it to a relatively clean area, for example after gentle oral hygiene. Spread it lightly rather than rubbing hard, because irritated mucosa can be uncomfortable when handled roughly. The purpose is to form a thin, moist protective film over the spot, not to coat the whole mouth. After applying, it is practical to avoid immediately eating, drinking or rinsing so the gel has time to stay in place.
If you wear braces, dentures or another dental appliance, apply the gel to the area that feels affected by friction. If an appliance continues to rub the same spot, the gel may improve comfort temporarily, but the source of friction may still need adjustment by a dentist or dental technician.
Do not use the gel if you know you are sensitive or allergic to any of its ingredients, including aloe vera, chamomile, licorice-derived glycyrrhetinic acid, glycerin or cooling components. If symptoms are unusual, worsening or recurring, ask a dentist or pharmacist for advice.
