Take a small amount of cream and warm it briefly between your fingertips; this makes it easier to spread, especially in colder months when the texture feels firmer. Apply it to clean, dry skin and massage gently with light pressure until it is absorbed. There is no need to use a thick layer: a little goes a long way with a rich baby cream, and rubbing it in thoroughly avoids a sticky or greasy residue.
For an after-bath routine, pat the skin dry first and apply the cream while the skin is still slightly damp. This is a common practical step with rich moisturising creams because it helps the skin hold a little extra water and leaves it feeling softer. Pay special attention to the areas named in the product description: cheeks, hands, elbows and knees. On babies, the face often needs only a thin layer; avoid getting the cream into the eyes, nose or mouth.
Reapply whenever the skin feels dry again or before going outside in cold, windy weather, since the cream creates a protective layer against dryness. If the child has been drooling, wiping the chin, or washing hands frequently, the cream may wear off sooner and can be topped up. Keep the tube closed after use and store it at normal room temperature out of direct heat. If the product ever changes smell or texture noticeably, it is better not to use it, though for an unopened, correctly stored cream this is unusual. Stop using it if you see any sign of irritation after application.
