How should I apply a lip balm from a jar hygienically?

Since Himalaya Lip Balm is supplied in a jar, the most important practical point is hygiene. Apply it with clean fingers, or use a small clean spatula if you want to avoid touching the product directly. This is particularly useful if several family members use the same jar.

Take a small amount and spread a thin, even layer over the lips. The texture is soft, slightly waxy and melts on contact with body heat, so a little is usually enough to cover the surface. Reapply when the lips start to feel dry again, before going out into cold or windy weather, or before sleep if you prefer a richer overnight layer.

If using it under lipstick, apply a light layer first and give it a moment to settle. If too much balm is used, colour cosmetics may slide or apply unevenly, so blotting off excess before lipstick can help keep the finish neater.

To keep the jar in good condition, close it after use and avoid introducing water, dust or unclean applicators. As with any lip product, check the label before first use if you are allergic to nuts, beeswax or plant-derived ingredients.
