How often should I use the apricot seed face scrub?

This scrub works mechanically, so the apricot seed powder and silica particles do the exfoliating while you massage. For that reason, it is not meant for daily use. A reasonable starting point is once a week, especially if you are new to physical exfoliants or your skin tends to be sensitive. If your skin feels comfortable afterwards, without stinging or redness, you can increase to two times a week. Oily or combination skin often tolerates twice weekly; dry or easily irritated skin may do better with once a week or every other week.

Apply it to damp, freshly washed skin. Take a small amount and massage in light, circular movements, paying a little more attention to areas that feel congested, such as the nose and chin. Do not press hard: the particles provide the polish, not the pressure. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and pat the face dry.

If you also use retinoids, acid exfoliants, or similar resurfacing products, do not use the scrub on the same day. Give the skin a rest day between the scrub and stronger actives. Skip the scrub completely if the skin is sunburned, chapped, broken, or already irritated.
