This mask is designed as an occasional deep-cleansing step, not a daily treatment. For most oily or combination skin types, once or twice a week is enough — more frequent peeling can strip the barrier and lead to rebound oiliness or sensitivity.
Apply it after cleansing on completely dry skin. A thin, even layer works best; thick globs take longer to dry and peel unevenly. Leave it until the film feels tight and fully dry (usually 15–20 minutes), then peel slowly from the edges toward the centre. Rinse any residue with lukewarm water.
Follow with a lightweight, non-comedogenic moisturiser. Because the citric acid provides mild exfoliation and the peel-off action temporarily increases permeability, skip strong actives (retinoids, high-percentage AHAs/BHAs, vitamin C) that same evening. If you use the mask in the morning, apply sunscreen afterward — fresh skin is more UV-sensitive.
Seasonal adjustment helps: in humid summer months you might tolerate twice weekly; in dry winter heating season, once every 10–14 days is safer. Listen to your skin — tightness, flaking, or stinging on subsequent product application means you're overdoing it.
