There is no single fixed dose, because the gel-balm is an external product used on an as-needed basis. The practical rule is to start with a small amount — roughly a pea-to-hazelnut-sized portion per joint area such as one knee or one shoulder — and spread it in a thin layer. The gel texture is designed to spread easily and absorb better than a heavy ointment, so a thin layer is enough to produce the effect. Adding more later is safer than applying a thick layer at once, especially with a formula this intense.
For frequency, let your skin be the guide. The product is meant for moments when the body feels stiff, overworked, or locally tense. You can apply it once a day after physical strain, or on separate occasions during the day if the discomfort returns and the skin tolerates it well. Avoid applying it to very large body areas all at once, and do not use continuously for days on end without observing how your skin reacts. If irritation appears, stop and give the skin a break.
Other practical points: apply to clean, dry skin and massage gently until the balm is absorbed. Wash your hands thoroughly after every application. Do not cover the area with tight bandages or plastic wrap unless your specialist told you to, because that increases absorption and can make the warming effect too intense. Keep the tube closed after use and store it out of direct sunlight and away from high heat.
