Massage oil is different from a lotion: you need enough to let your hands move smoothly, but not so much that the skin is drenched. Start with about a teaspoon for one larger body area, such as one leg or the whole back, and add small amounts if you feel friction. Pour the oil into your palms first, rub them together briefly, then apply — this spreads the oil evenly and makes your hands feel workable.

Use long, smooth strokes from the lower body outward or upward, and use circular movements over larger muscles. The plant oil complex in this product reduces drag, so you do not need to stop and reapply as often as you would with a cream. If you are giving yourself a massage, apply thin coats to the thighs, arms, abdomen and back, and avoid the face and eye area. Do not use it on irritated or damaged skin.

After the massage, the oil leaves the skin softer and smoother. If you prefer a less rich feel, you can wait 10–15 minutes for the oil to absorb and then pat off any residue with a towel, or shower with warm water. Close the bottle after each use and keep it away from direct sunlight and heat, because oils can go rancid faster when exposed to warm conditions. In a SPA setting, keep the oil away from open candles or other flames.
