Start with a small amount — around a fingertip-sized dab is usually enough for an area like one calf or the lower back. Apply it to clean, dry skin and massage in circular movements. The goal is not to create a thick layer on the skin, but to work the balm in until the warming sensation appears. You can always add a little more if the area is large, but if you apply too much at the beginning, the warmth may become uncomfortable.
Massage each area slowly and firmly enough to feel the skin warm up, but without pressing so hard that it hurts. Continue until the warming effect is noticeable. The massage itself is part of why the balm is used: gentle circular pressure on tense muscles, combined with slow breathing or light stretching, helps the area relax. After applying, wash your hands thoroughly.
The 250 ml jar is a large format, so it is suitable for full-body use, for two people sharing a jar, or for athletes who use massage balm regularly. One jar will last through many massage sessions. You do not need to apply a new layer every hour; one application per massage session is the usual approach. If you use it before sport, apply it before your warm-up. If you use it after sport, massage it in during your cool-down and then allow the skin to breathe. Avoid using it on skin that is hot, sweaty or irritated, as the warming effect may feel stronger there.
