Because the dye is oxidative, the colour molecules form inside the hair cortex and remain until that specific hair falls out. Eyebrow hairs have a longer growth cycle (roughly 4–6 weeks before shedding), so the tint stays visible for that period. Eyelashes turn over faster — typically 6–8 weeks for a full cycle, but individual lashes shed daily — so the tinted tips disappear sooner, usually becoming noticeably lighter after 3–4 weeks. Factors that shorten wear on both areas include: oily skin or heavy eye creams that break down the cuticle seal, daily waterproof mascara removal with oil-based removers, frequent sauna or steam exposure, and harsh foaming cleansers used directly on the brow area. To maximise longevity, cleanse the eye area with a gentle, oil-free micellar water or a dedicated lash shampoo, pat dry instead of rubbing, and avoid applying rich oils (castor, coconut, etc.) directly on the tinted hairs for the first 48 hours after colouring. The castor oil already in the formula conditions during the process; additional oil afterwards can accelerate fading. When the colour grows out, you will see a clear line at the root — this is the signal for a touch-up. Do not re-tint more often than every 3–4 weeks to avoid over-processing the fine hairs.
