How is waxing with these strips different from shaving, and how long will the smoothness last?

Shaving cuts hair at the skin's surface, so stubble can reappear within a day or two. These wax strips grip the hair and pull it out from the root in one quick movement. Because the hair is removed from the follicle rather than cut, the skin stays smooth for longer, and with repeated use many people notice that new growth can appear finer and feel softer.

How long the smoothness lasts depends on your own hair growth cycle. Not all hairs grow at the same rate, so you may see a few hairs sooner than others. For the wax to grip properly, the hair needs to be long enough — usually a few millimetres. If you shave in between waxing sessions, you will need to wait for regrowth before the strips can work well again.

Waxing removes hair from the root, which is why the result is different from shaving. It is not a permanent method, but it can be a practical choice when you want a longer break between hair-removal sessions.
