Unlike a classic bar soap, which is usually made with a solid sodium soap base and can leave the skin feeling tight and dry after rinsing, this product is a soft bath soap with a creamier, more fluid texture. It is called a sauna soap because it is formulated for use in conditions where skin is exposed to heat, steam and repeated washing — all of which can strip the skin’s natural oils more aggressively than a normal shower.
The formula combines cleansing agents with plant extracts and moisture-binding components. The chamomile, oak bark extract and white tea extract are included for their traditional soothing, astringent and antioxidant properties. The jojoba, olive and peach oils help reduce the “stripped” feeling that often appears after contact with water and surfactants. The Hydroviton® PLUS complex adds urea, sodium PCA, sodium lactate, sugars and sodium hyaluronate — substances naturally associated with the skin’s own moisture system. These hold water in the upper layers of the skin, so the cleansing feels milder and the skin remains softer afterward.
In practice, this means you can use it in a hot sauna or steam room, then rinse off without immediately feeling the need to apply a heavy body lotion. It is still a cleansing product, not a moisturizer, so if your skin is very dry you may want to follow with a body cream or oil. The soft soap format also makes it easy to apply directly to skin or a washcloth, and it can be used in the shower or bath as well.
