The main difference is that this bar is built around a protein blend from whey and milk proteins, rather than being only a sugar-and-fat based confectionery snack. Protein can help make a snack more filling and contributes to daily protein intake, which is especially relevant if you are active or often miss protein at snack times.
It also contains soluble corn fiber. Fiber changes the nutritional profile of a snack because it can support satiety and normal digestive function as part of the diet. This does not mean the bar should replace vegetables, grains, legumes, or other fiber-rich foods, but it can be a better fit than a conventional sweet when you want something dessert-like with added fiber.
The sweetness comes partly from steviol glycosides, which are stevia-based sweeteners used to reduce added sugar content. The bar still contains energy-providing ingredients, including fats from cocoa butter, pistachios, tahini, and vegetable oils, so it should be considered a snack with calories, not a “free” food. It is best chosen when you want a sweet taste with protein and fiber rather than when you need a full meal.
