This balm sits between a daily conditioner and a heavy mask. It is designed for hair that has become rough, porous or fragile from colouring, heat styling or chemical processing, and its job is to make the lengths feel smoother, denser and more manageable after washing.
Unlike a mask, which is usually left on longer and used less often, this is a rinse-out balm meant for regular use after shampoo. The formula combines sea buckthorn oil and argan oil, which coat the outer layer of the hair and help flatten lifted cuticles, with amino acids that condition weakened lengths. It also contains sodium PCA and sodium lactate, humectants that attract water and help keep moisture inside the hair shaft.
The conditioning base creates a thin smoothing film on the hair surface. That is why the balm is often described as having a “laminating” effect: strands lie more evenly, comb through more easily and get some protection from friction and heat. If your hair is very dry, you can still use a mask occasionally, but this balm is a lighter option for keeping bleached, highlighted or heat-styled hair manageable.
