SULSENA is a shampoo-paste, not a standard liquid shampoo. The key difference is in the format and how you use it. A regular shampoo is usually massaged in and rinsed off almost immediately. This paste is designed to be applied to the scalp and left on for a short time before rinsing, so the active ingredient, selenium disulfide, has a longer contact with the area where dandruff typically begins.
The paste texture also helps you apply it more precisely to the roots and along the parting, rather than spreading it through the lengths of the hair. This makes it an intensive step for when you want a deeper, more targeted effect than a daily shampoo provides. It is not a leave-on product – you always rinse it out thoroughly after the contact time.
Because it is stronger than a regular shampoo, it is often chosen when an ordinary shampoo feels too mild, but you still prefer a wash-off treatment over a leave-on scalp product.
