How is a cream soap different from a regular bar soap, and why does it feel less drying?

A regular bar of soap and a cream soap do the same core job: the soap molecules bind to oil, sweat and surface impurities so they can be rinsed away with water. The difference is in how the bar feels while you wash and how your skin feels afterwards. SHIK Granaatõuna ja vaarika kreemseep is a creamy soap, which means it contains glycerin. Glycerin attracts and holds moisture on the skin surface, so the cleansing process is usually milder than with very plain, detergent-heavy bars. This often translates into a clean but not "stripped" sensation after rinsing.

In practical terms, this bar lathers easily, which makes it simple to spread over hands or a damp body. The pomegranate and raspberry extracts in the formula are there mainly to give the product its fruity character — they influence the smell and overall sensory experience more than the cleansing action. The soap is still a rinse-off product, not a leave-on treatment. Be sure to rinse the lather completely off, because soap residue left on the skin can feel tacky and may irritate areas where moisture gets trapped. If your skin is very dry or easily irritated, you may want to apply a hand or body cream after washing. As with any soap, keep the lather away from your eyes, and stop using it if irritation appears.
