For hair, this oil is typically used as a conditioning treatment. Its fatty acids can coat the hair shaft, which may improve softness, tame frizz, and add a glossier look. Since the oil is thick, use only a few drops.
Pre-wash treatment (most common):
- Take a pea-sized amount and warm it between your palms.
- Apply it to the mid-lengths and ends of dry or slightly damp hair, concentrating on areas that feel coarse or look dull.
- Leave it on for at least 20–30 minutes, or overnight, then wash out with your regular shampoo. You may need to shampoo twice to remove the oil fully.
As a finishing touch: For very dry ends, you can apply a tiny amount (less than a drop) to dry hair after styling to smooth flyaways. Start with a minimal quantity to avoid a greasy look.
If your scalp is sensitive, avoid applying the oil directly to it. Stop use if irritation appears.
