This is a leave-on serum, meaning it is meant to stay on the skin, not be rinsed off. The typical order is: cleanse, apply the serum, wait a few minutes, then apply a moisturizer or face cream. The serum provides hydration and active ingredients, while the moisturizer locks everything in and helps maintain the skin barrier. If you have dry or mature skin, layering it under a cream is a good way to get both the concentrated actives and the richer emollience.
Because the formula already contains hyaluronic acid, you do not need a separate hyaluronic acid serum. If you use other serums, keep the texture order in mind: apply thinner, water-based products first and thicker, oil-based or creamy products later. This serum is lightweight, so it should go on before heavier creams or oils.
If you also use vitamin C or exfoliating acids, avoid applying them at the same time as the retinol serum. A practical split is vitamin C in the morning and this serum in the evening, or acids on alternate evenings. This reduces the chance of overloading the skin and lets each active work without competing. If you use prescription skincare or strong treatments, ask a specialist how to combine them.
For the under-eye area, a small dab of the serum can be used instead of a cream if you prefer a lighter texture. Pat it gently with your ring finger and do not rub. Avoid the eyelids and the area directly on the lash line.
