A standard conditioner deposits a thin cationic film that detangles and adds slip for the next wash cycle. This mask contains a significantly higher proportion of oils — seven distinct ones — chosen to penetrate the cuticle layers and replenish the lipid mantle that protects each strand from moisture loss. The Vital Hair Aktive+ complex is absent from ordinary conditioners; it targets the scalp rather than the fibre. Because of this richer composition, the mask has a thicker texture and requires a longer leave-on time (5–10 minutes) to work. It is therefore positioned as a weekly or bi-weekly intensive step, while a lightweight conditioner remains appropriate for the other wash days.
