How does the gel-balm texture compare to a regular gel or a thick ointment? — ЗП Суставит Яд гюрзы (окопник/сабельник) gel-balsam/body 125ml (KorolevFarm)
The gel-balm format sits between a light gel and a dense waxy ointment. It has more body than a light gel, so it does not feel watery or disappear too quickly during massage. At the same time, it is less greasy and occlusive than a heavy ointment, so it spreads well, gives enough slip for comfortable massage, and is generally easier to absorb. This makes it practical for home use and for applying after physical activity without leaving a very heavy residue.
Because the texture is thicker than a light gel, a small amount is usually enough for one area. Start with roughly a pea-sized amount for a knee or shoulder, and a bit more for a larger zone like the back. Rub the product between your hands first, then work it into the skin with slow, firm strokes. If you need more coverage, add a little more rather than applying a thick layer at once. This helps the product absorb and avoids a sticky feeling.
Since the product has a warming action, you may feel heat within a few minutes of application. That is normal for this type of formula and usually fades over time. If the heat feels too intense, wash the area with soap and water. Keep the tube closed when not in use and store it at room temperature, away from direct heat and sunlight.
