Classic sulphate shampoos (SLS, SLES) create abundant foam and give a "squeaky-clean" sensation because they are strong detergents. This shampoo uses milder, sulphate-free surfactants that lift dirt, sebum, and light styling residue without aggressively dissolving the natural lipids that keep hair flexible. You will notice less foam — that is normal and does not mean it is not working.
For most people washing every 1–3 days, this level of cleansing is sufficient. If you use heavy silicones, waxes, or water-resistant sunscreens on your hair, you may need a deeper cleanse once every 1–2 weeks with a clarifying shampoo. Alternating is a common routine: use this gentle formula for daily or frequent washes, and a stronger cleanser only when you feel buildup.
Because it does not strip the hair shaft, colour-treated and bleached hair tends to retain pigment longer, and the lengths stay softer between washes. If your scalp is very oily, you might perceive the finish as less "fresh" at first; many users in that situation alternate with a stronger shampoo or do a double cleanse on wash days.
