How do I use this tooth powder correctly, and how does it differ from brushing with regular toothpaste?

Wet your toothbrush bristles, shake off excess water, then dip the tips into the powder — a thin, even coating is enough. Brush using short, gentle strokes with minimal pressure; the calcium carbonate cleans through fine mechanical action, not force. Unlike toothpaste, there is no foaming agent, so you won't get a thick lather. Expect a drier, slightly gritty texture that turns into a fine slurry as you brush. Spend the usual two minutes covering all surfaces, then rinse thoroughly. Because the powder lacks fluoride and desensitizing agents found in many pastes, it does not replace a fluoride toothpaste if your dentist has recommended one for cavity protection or sensitivity. Many people alternate: fluoride paste morning and night, powder a few times a week for the polished feel. If gums feel raw or teeth become sensitive, reduce frequency or stop and consult your dentist.
