FRIEND is a solid laundry soap, so you use it directly on the stain instead of pouring it into a washing machine. Start by dampening the affected area of the fabric with water. Then rub the bar directly onto the mark and build up foam exactly where it is needed. The soap base contains fatty acid salts such as sodium palmitate and sodium cocoate, which help loosen dirt and oily residue from the fibres. Leave the foam on briefly, then rinse it thoroughly or launder the item as usual.
This is a practical pre-wash treatment for collars, cuffs, socks, kitchen textiles, and other areas that pick up visible residue during wear. For a stain that is going into the washing machine, apply the soap before the main wash, then wash the garment normally. For hand-washing, rub the bar on the fabric, work the foam through the area, and rinse. Because the bar is solid, you can control exactly where the soap goes, which is useful when you want to treat a small spot without soaking the whole garment.
One thing to keep in mind: the soap is alkaline, so if you are using it on dark, very delicate, or special-finish fabrics, test it first on an inconspicuous area. If your skin is sensitive, avoid prolonged contact with the foam.
