Start by drawing a bath with warm water — a comfortable temperature that you can lie in without feeling hot or scalding. Very hot water can make essential oils feel stronger and more irritating, so it’s better to stay moderate. Add the salt while the water is running so it dissolves evenly. If you add it after the tub is full, stir the water with your hand until no large grains remain; undissolved salt can settle on the skin and feel scratchy.
For a standard-size bathtub, a few handfuls is a reasonable starting point. You can adjust the amount based on how strong you want the pine scent and how your skin responds. Use less if it’s your first time or if you have sensitive skin. The 500g pack will last for several baths.
Soak for roughly 15–20 minutes. That’s enough time for the salt to fully dissolve and for the pine aroma to spread through the room, but not so long that your skin starts to feel tight or dried out. After getting out, rinse your body under the shower with plain water and pat your skin dry with a towel. Many people follow up with an unscented body lotion or oil to retain moisture, especially during colder months when skin is already prone to dryness.
Finally, rinse the bathtub after use. The essential oil can leave a slippery film on the tub surface, and a quick rinse with hot water after the bath makes cleaning much easier.
