Start with freshly shampooed hair. Gently squeeze out excess water so the mask can cling to the hair rather than slide off. Apply a generous amount from the mid-lengths to the ends, where hair is usually driest and most damaged. If your scalp is oily, avoid the roots; if it is dry, you can work the mask slightly closer to the scalp, but keep it off the very top of the head to avoid weighing hair down.
Leave it on for about 5 minutes, as the product is designed as a rinse-off mask. You can keep it on a little longer (up to 10 minutes) if your hair is very dry, but there is no need to go beyond that. Then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Warm water helps open the cuticle, but a cool final rinse can help seal it and add shine.
For frequency, start with once a week. If your hair is very dry, porous, or damaged from heat styling, you can use it twice a week. If your hair is fine or prone to looking heavy, once a week is enough. Adjust based on how your hair feels—if it starts to feel limp or greasy, reduce the frequency.
Always do a patch test on your inner arm if you have a sensitive scalp or are prone to reactions. Avoid contact with the eyes, and if you have any chronic scalp condition or are on medication, consult a specialist before using this or any new cosmetic product.
