There is no step-by-step instruction in the product description, so the exact timing should be taken from the leaflet or label that comes with the tube. The general routine for brow and lash henna cream is the same as for most tinting creams: start with clean, dry skin and remove all makeup, sunscreen, facial oil and eye cream from the area. A thin, even layer gives the most predictable result; a thick layer on the skin can stain the skin temporarily and is harder to remove.
For the brows, brush the cream through the hairs in the direction they grow, and use a cotton bud or angled applicator if you want a more precise outer edge. For the lashes, keep the eyes closed and apply the cream only to the lashes, avoiding the waterline and the inside of the lid. Leave it on for the time stated in the instructions — typical henna brow and lash tints are left for a couple of minutes to around a quarter of an hour, but this depends on the specific formula and the depth you want. The colour will appear stronger the longer the product stays on, and hair thickness also affects how fast it tints.
Remove it with a damp cotton pad or lukewarm water, rinsing gently until the water runs clear. Do not rub the area, and do not use soap or a facial cleanser immediately after — keep the area calm for the rest of the day. If you feel any tingling or stinging during the wait time, remove the product at once. Before first use, do a patch test 48 hours in advance, and skip the treatment if the eye area is irritated, sunburnt or recently waxed or shaped.
