How do I use the ointment and where is it best applied?

Use a small amount — about a pea-sized dab per area — and warm it between your fingertips before smoothing it over the dry or rough patch. Gently massage until the skin feels coated; there is no need to rub hard. Because the ointment is dense, start with less and add more only if the area still feels tight or rough.

Suitable spots include elbows, knuckles and other dry patches on the body. The product is a body ointment, so it is not formulated for the face or for use near the eyes and mucous membranes. Apply it only to intact skin — do not put it on open wounds, severely broken skin or infected areas.

For everyday use, you might apply it once or twice a day after washing and drying the area, or whenever the skin feels tight and uncomfortable. If your skin is reactive, test a small amount on your inner forearm first and wait to see if any redness or irritation appears before using it on larger patches. If irritation occurs, stop using it and talk to a pharmacist or dermatologist. Store the tube closed in a cool, dry place, away from direct heat and sunlight.

This product is a cosmetic skin-care balm. It is not intended to diagnose, treat or prevent any disease, and if you have a chronic skin condition or are taking medication, check with a specialist before adding it to your routine.
