This is a rinse-off mask, so the basic routine is simple: cleanse your face first, then open the single-dose sachet and apply a thin, even layer to your skin, avoiding the eye area and the lip contour. Leave it on for the time indicated on the sachet – for AHA masks this is typically 10 to 15 minutes, but always follow the printed instructions. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and pat your skin dry. Do not leave it on overnight.
Because the formula contains an AHA complex (glycolic, lactic, citric, malic and tartaric acids), it is an exfoliating product. It is not meant for daily use. If you are new to AHA or have sensitive skin, start by using it once every 7 to 14 days. After your skin has adjusted, you can increase to once a week if you feel it is well tolerated. Over-exfoliating can cause redness and tightness, so it is better to under-use it at first.
After rinsing, follow with a gentle moisturizer to help lock in hydration. The mask already contains shea butter, grape seed oil, almond oil, hyaluronic acid and aloe vera, which help reduce tightness after rinsing, but a moisturizer is still a good idea, especially if your skin is dry. Because AHA can make your skin more sensitive to the sun, apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen the next morning if you go outside.
