How do I use it correctly — on wet or dry skin, how long to massage, and how often?

Use it on wet, warmed skin — ideally a few minutes into your shower, once warm water has softened the skin surface. Applying it to dry skin makes the salt and coffee particles feel much harsher than intended.

A workable routine:

  1. Take a small amount and apply to one zone at a time (one thigh, then the other, and so on).
  2. Massage in circular motions with moderate pressure for roughly a minute per area. On cellulite-prone zones like thighs and buttocks, slightly firmer, longer massage is where the caffeine and circulation-stimulating effect does its work; on softer areas like inner arms, go lighter.
  3. Note that the cane sugar gradually melts with water — the scrub starts more abrasive and becomes gentler as you go, so there is no need to press hard at the start.
  4. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.

Because the formula is oil-rich, the plant oils leave a conditioning film after rinsing, so skin usually does not feel tight and a heavy body cream is not strictly necessary straight away — though you can still apply a light lotion or an anti-cellulite product if that is part of your routine, as freshly exfoliated skin takes such products in more readily.

As with most physical body scrubs, 1–2 times a week is enough; scrubbing daily does not speed up results and only risks irritating the skin. Keep water out of the jar where possible and take the product out with dry hands to keep the texture stable.
