How do I use it correctly and how often?

This is an intensive mechanical scrub, so technique and frequency matter more than with a mild shower polish.

  1. Wet the skin first. Use it in the shower on damp (not dripping) skin — the sugar crystals glide better and the clay-based texture grips properly.
  2. Massage in firm circular movements, concentrating on thighs, hips and buttocks or any area that feels rough. The dense texture is made for this kind of vigorous massage; a couple of minutes per area is usually enough.
  3. Rinse thoroughly with warm water until no gritty residue remains.
  4. Moisturize afterwards. Any intensive exfoliation removes some of the skin's surface layer, so following with a body cream or oil keeps skin comfortable and locks in the smooth feel.

Frequency: because the exfoliation is strong, 1–2 times a week is a sensible rhythm for most people. Daily use is not recommended — overuse of any active scrub can leave skin feeling tender, so space applications out and adjust the pressure of your massage to how your skin responds. If your skin ever feels sore or stripped after use, take a longer break and use a lighter hand next time.

One practical note: charcoal and clay can leave a dark residue in the shower, so rinse the tray or tub down straight after use to avoid staining.
