Start with a clean non-metal bowl — ceramic, glass, or plastic — because metal can react with the mineral content of the clay and alter its properties. Add a small amount of powder and gradually stir in lukewarm water until you reach a smooth, spreadable paste without lumps. The consistency is adjustable: thicker for targeted areas like the T-zone, thinner for larger zones such as the back or scalp.
Apply an even layer to cleansed skin, avoiding the eye and lip area. For oily or combination skin, leave it on until it begins to tighten, typically 10–15 minutes. If your skin is dry, sensitive, or prone to redness, rinse it off while it is still slightly damp — letting it dry completely can pull moisture from the surface and cause discomfort. Use lukewarm water and a soft cloth or sponge to remove all residue, then follow with your usual toner and moisturizer.
Because the product is a dry powder, you only activate what you need each time, which keeps the remainder stable. A patch test on the inner forearm 24 hours before the first full-face use is advisable, especially if you currently use exfoliating acids, retinoids, or other intensive treatments.
