How do I apply this gel-balsam correctly, and how often can I use it?

Because this product contains viper venom extract, do a patch test before the first full application: rub a small amount into the inner forearm and wait several hours (ideally 24) to see how your skin reacts. Some warmth and tingling is the intended effect; strong burning, itching or persistent redness means the product is not suitable for you.

For regular use:

  1. Apply a small amount of gel to clean, dry, intact skin over the area you want to work on — knees, shoulders, lower back or along the spine.
  2. Massage it in with circular movements for a few minutes until it absorbs. The gel-balsam texture is lighter than an ointment, so it does not need heavy rubbing.
  3. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap afterwards, and avoid touching your eyes, face or mucous membranes before you do — the warming components can be very unpleasant on sensitive areas.

People typically use it after exercise, gardening, travel or long periods of sitting, and it can be reapplied on different days as needed. Do not cover the treated area with airtight film or add external heat sources on top — the warming sensation builds on its own and extra heat can make it uncomfortable. Avoid applying immediately before or after a hot shower or bath, since warm, damp skin tends to react more intensely.
