Deva facial wax strips remove hair from the root rather than cutting it at skin level or dissolving it. Shaving leaves a blunt tip, which can feel stubbly as it grows back; creams break down the hair just above the root, so regrowth timing varies. Because waxing pulls the entire hair out, the skin usually stays smooth for weeks, and regrowth often feels softer and less noticeable.
The strips are designed for small facial areas such as the upper lip, chin, and cheeks. They grip even short hairs, so you do not need to wait for long regrowth before waxing again. However, the hair must be long enough for the wax to catch properly. If the hair is too short, the strip may not adhere well and the result will be patchy.
Unlike creams, wax strips do not rely on chemicals to break down hair, which can be an advantage if your skin reacts to depilatory creams. Unlike shaving, there is no risk of razor cuts or nicks on delicate facial contours. The trade-off is that waxing can pull on the skin, so it is not suitable for irritated, damaged, or sun-exposed skin.
