From what age can this cream be used, and is it suitable for newborns?

In terms of its composition and purpose, Semitsvetik Hügieeniline Lastekreem is intended for children’s skin from the first days of life — this follows from the product description. The formula is based on plant extracts traditionally used in children’s cosmetics: chamomile, linden and calendula are chosen for their gentle action, plantain for sensitive areas, and bur marigold and St John’s wort for skin prone to redness.

Nevertheless, the skin of newborns and babies in their first months is particularly reactive: even plant ingredients can cause an individual reaction. So the first time you use it, apply a small amount of cream to a limited area of skin — for example, the inside of the wrist or the crook of the elbow — and observe it for a few hours. If no redness, rash or itching appears, the cream can be used as usual. The cream is not used in case of hypersensitivity to its ingredients, and if an allergic reaction occurs, use is stopped and a doctor is consulted.

If the child already has marked irritation, weeping patches or a skin reaction that does not go away, it is better to consult a paediatrician or dermatologist before using any new product.
