Does the blend contain anything that may cause unwanted reactions or limit who can take it? — Soothing herbal mixture 50g - Lekraset

LEKRASET Rahustav taimesegu contains several plants with pronounced properties, and each of them has nuances worth bearing in mind.

St John's wort is one of the most “active” plants in this blend in terms of interactions. It can reduce the effectiveness of a number of medicines: oral contraceptives, anticoagulants, some antidepressants and immunosuppressants. If you take any medicines on a regular basis, discuss this with a doctor or pharmacist before you start drinking the blend regularly.

Valerian root can enhance the effect of sedatives. When it is taken together with calming medicines or sleeping pills, the combined effect may be stronger than expected.

Oregano and wild thyme are not recommended in large amounts during pregnancy — they are traditionally among the plants avoided during this period. When breastfeeding, it is also best to seek advice beforehand.

General situations in which you should get a specialist's advice before use:

  • pregnancy and breastfeeding;
  • taking any prescription medicines;
  • allergy to other plants of the mint family (thyme, wild thyme, oregano) or the St John's wort family; in case of individual intolerance to its ingredients the blend is contraindicated; if an allergic reaction occurs, stop taking it and consult a doctor.

The product is not a medicine and is not intended to treat or prevent any disease.
