Soy lecithin is generally well tolerated, but there are cases in which it is not used or in which you need to consult a doctor before you start taking it:
Soy allergy — soy lecithin is made from soy, so the product is not used if you have this allergy (or an allergy to any of the other ingredients).
Children, pregnancy and breastfeeding — the product is not recommended for children or for pregnant and breastfeeding women.
Chronic diseases — especially those related to the liver or fat metabolism: a specialist will help you judge whether taking it makes sense.
Taking medicines — if you take any medication on a regular basis, check with your doctor whether it can be combined with the product.
For healthy adults to whom none of the above applies, soy lecithin capsules are usually easy to include in the daily diet — 1 capsule a day with a meal, washed down with water; the recommended daily dose should not be exceeded. Nevertheless, it is a food supplement, not a medicinal product, and it is not intended to diagnose, treat or prevent disease.
