Chitosan is a fibrous substance that binds fats in the lumen of the gastrointestinal tract. Several practical points follow from this that are worth considering when taking the formula.
Timing. According to the instructions, adults and children over 14 take 2 capsules half an hour before a meal, no more than 6 capsules a day.
Compatibility with other products. As a sorbent substance, chitosan can theoretically affect the absorption not only of fats but also of fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K) and of some medicines. If you take medicines or other supplements, it is worth spacing them out in time and consulting a specialist.
Sensitive digestion. If you are prone to digestive upsets, it is better to start taking any fibrous ingredient gradually, monitoring how your body reacts.
Shellfish allergy. Chitosan is traditionally obtained from the shells of crustaceans, so the formula is generally not suitable for people with an allergy to crustaceans and seafood; a doctor must be consulted before taking it.
The formula is not a medicine and is not intended to treat any conditions. During pregnancy and breastfeeding and with chronic diseases, taking it should be agreed with a specialist.
