A fridge is not needed; it is enough to avoid high temperatures and humidity.
A small natural sediment at the bottom of the bottle is acceptable and does not indicate that the product has gone off; it is the result of using natural plant substances. Shake the bottle before use. The shelf life after opening depends on the manufacturer's recommendations, but syrups are usually used up within 1–2 months to keep the flavour fresh and the quality high. If the colour, smell or taste changes, it is better not to use the product.
