Biotevit is a food supplement, not a medicine, but there are several important points to consider before you start taking it.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding. During these periods micronutrient needs change, and it is best to agree on any supplements with a doctor in advance.
- Chronic conditions. If you have chronic conditions — especially those related to the kidneys, liver or metabolism — discuss taking any supplements with a specialist.
- Taking it with other supplements. If you already take complexes containing biotin or zinc, the total daily amount of these substances may end up higher than recommended. This is especially relevant for biotin: caution is advisable with high intake from several sources at once.
In addition, the recommended daily dose must not be exceeded, the supplement does not replace a varied and balanced diet, and it must be stored out of the reach of children. If in doubt, consult a doctor or pharmacist before starting the course.
