The product description states that its main job is to remove excess sebum, sweat, and residue from sunscreen or makeup. So on a day when you have worn a light layer of sunscreen or minimal makeup, this gel can be enough as the single cleansing step. The wash-off action pulls residue from the surface, and rinsing with water carries it away.
If you are wearing heavy makeup, waterproof mascara, or a long-wear foundation, a foaming gel is not a dedicated makeup remover. A cleansing oil, balm, or micellar water is usually more effective at breaking down those longer-lasting formulas before you go in with the gel. A practical order is: remove stubborn makeup first with a remover suitable for your skin type, then wet the face and use this gel to clean the skin. This avoids rubbing hard or washing multiple times, which can leave the skin feeling stripped.
Keep this gel away from the eye area. If you wear eye makeup, remove that separately before using the gel on the rest of the face. After rinsing, follow with your usual serum or moisturizer.
For sunscreen, you do not need a separate oil cleanser in most cases, unless the sunscreen is explicitly water-resistant and heavy. In that case, using a dedicated first cleanser before this gel is a sensible approach. You can also use this gel in the morning to clear away overnight sebum and any skincare residue from the previous evening.
