Do I need to test it first, and what should I do if my skin is sensitive or if dye gets into my eye?

Yes. Even if you have used henna for hair or hands before, this brow product is applied very close to the eyes and the formula is not the same as pure plant henna. If your skin is reactive, or if you have ever reacted to hair colourants, a patch test before first use is the sensible step. On clean dry skin, apply a small amount of the freshly mixed paste to a hidden area, such as behind the ear or on the inside of the elbow. Leave it for the normal development time, then watch the area for the next 24 to 48 hours. If there is redness, itching, burning, swelling, or any other irritation, do not use the product on your brows.

When applying, keep the paste away from the eye, the eyelid, and the lash line. Use a hand mirror and avoid working too close to the eye. If the product gets into the eye, rinse it with plenty of lukewarm water, hold the eye open, and continue rinsing until the paste is completely washed out. If discomfort or redness continues, seek medical advice. Apply the product only to intact skin — not over cuts, rashes, sunburn, active breakouts, or skin that is already irritated. Stop use immediately if you feel burning or notice any reaction.

If you are unsure because you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have a chronic skin condition, or take medication, talk to a specialist before using the product. A negative patch test does not guarantee that no reaction will appear on the delicate brow area, so apply the paste thinly the first time and stay cautious.
